And this is his deviantart :icontheshock:

Thank you!!!!

Hi. I'm a brazilian fan of your art. I dream one day coloring like you! Serious!

For now, I tried to learn about your painting process. I tried so many times, maybe months, but this time I finally did it! This tutorial was awesome to me, 'cause I learned how to use the SAI's brushes and pen. I hope that you don't care, but I make a remake of your Manectric painting. The result you can see below.

Thank you so much. You helped a lot. And don't worry. I uploaded the replica for few days, just to show you the results.

I love your style. Please, keep the good work!

P.S.: Excuse my English. I don't speak very well...

There was only one thing I had trouble with. On the marker setting below density, What are the two settings? In Russian I believe it says "Het"? I can not translate that. Please explain? Thank you! Wonderful work!

It's texture list. One is "(simple circle)" and the other is "(no texture)".

Thanks so much for the custom tools file, but I can't seem to get them to show up. D:
I converted the rar file and put the folder into the program files, but I can't see the new tools when I open SAI. Is there something I have to do differently, like open them from in SAI itself? :?

Sorry, I'm not very savvy with files like this. ^^;

I was confused to, But what you do is extract the file to somewhere of your choice then open up Paint Tool SAIS folder. Now see the folders in the tool file you just downloaded? They have the same folder names as one in the SAI folder. Just copy and paste the files from there to the SAI folder that match :)

The order of your layers in very confusing, I've been trying to play around with the different layer modes, but to no avail :/ The overlay mode is very interesting but gets weird on me.

Oh actually I understood that part so I can help you~
First layer is the one with the overlay mode. Use it when the greyscale pic will be ready for colors.
The second one (under overlay one) is random greyscale pic. You can made it by yourself like salanchu did.
And the third layer is a BG. It helps with the overlay as overlay doesn't work on white or black space.

Hope it helps!

the 6th step and the 7th is the most confusing to me i can't tell if the overlay is supposed to be on the top of the other overlay, i also don't know where the multiplying and addition go or what they are for? i know the 7th is some sort of over painting but even so it looks great here but its confusing...

so accourding to you the sketch layer is the overlay layer and the multiplying layer is where you put the grayscale so im guessing its merged when the colors are added? the third layer is the background as the 4th step is adding colors to the background. then the fourth layer is another overlay layer which im assuming goes on the top on the background or the bottom? then the next layer is also an overlay layer which more color is applied. then that's when the whole tutorial becomes confusing because details are lost.   This is mine but its not turning out well at all i don't know how to execute this perfectly.

Oh, I forgot to mention the greyscale pic should be in 'multiply' mode so it will blend very well with the bg layer!
No problem. ^^ I'm glad I could help a little.
